- About the VTA
The peak body for Victoria’s TAFE network
The Victorian TAFE Association (VTA) Inc. and its antecedents have served the Victorian TAFE sector for over 25 years initially as the TAFE College Councils Association of Victoria (TCCAV).
The Association was rebranded the Association of TAFE Institutes (ATI) in the 1990’s and then in 1999, as a result of a merger between the ATI and the Victorian Association of TAFE Directors (VICAD), the Victorian TAFE Association was formed.
The Association has a key role in representing Victorian TAFE institutes and dual sector universities at both state and federal levels. The Association is governed by a Board and the decisions of Association Council which is comprised of 2 representatives from each member. Our structure includes meetings of the TAFE Board Chairs, monthly meetings of CEO Council and bi-monthly meetings of issue based Standing Committees.
