VET Practitioners' Network
The Victorian VET Practitioners’ Network (VPN) is a peak network for TAFE practitioners delivering accredited qualifications in training and assessment. The Network was formed in 2001 with members drawn from all Victorian TAFE institutes and dual sector Universities. The Network liaises closely with the VET Development Centre, CMM Service Industries and Further Education, the Victorian TAFE Staff Development Network and the Victorian TAFE Association.
The objectives of the VPN are to provide collegiate support for the public TAFE providers in their delivery of the Diploma of VET Practice and the TAA Training Package by providing a forum for:
- discussion around the development of the teaching skills of TAFE teachers;
- the sharing of resources;
- dissemination of information about delivery strategies; and
- the validation and moderation of assessments.
The VPN has been actively engaged in the development of the Training and Assessment Training Package and the Graduate Certificate in VET. Members provide advice to TAFE management on qualifications leading to qualifications for a contemporary VET workforce.
The VPN facilitates professional development activities for its members.
