Team

Membership

The VTA's membership currently consists of all Victorian TAFE Institutes and four universities with TAFE Divisions.

Administrative Committee

The Administrative Committee is responsible to the Association Council for over sight of operations of the Association.

Committee members are elected by Members of the VTA Association Council representatives, and comprises a President, a Non-Executive Council Member and three CEOs Members.

Secretariat Staff

The Association has a Secretariat comprising an Executive Director, an Employment Relations Policy Consultant, a CEO Council Executive/Education Policy Consultant, an Office Manager, and a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant.

Executive Director

Appointed to the position in June 2003. Joined the Association as Manager, Workforce Development & Employment Relations in 1996. David has a strong background in industrial relations and human resources issues.

Workforce Services Policy Consultant

Commenced in 2001 as Employee Relations Consultant to work with David Williams on a series of projects. Jim brings to the Association a breadth of Employee Relations/Human Resources knowledge and expertise gained previously at RMIT and in Local Government.

CEO Council Executive Officer/Education Policy Consultant

Nita was seconded from Central Gippsland Institute of TAFE in November 2003. Nita commenced as a teacher in the TAFE sector in 1992 and occupied a variety of managerial and leadership positions at Central Gippsland Institute of TAFE between 1998 and 2004. In her current role at the VTA she liaises with peak educational bodies, undertakes research on behalf of the CEO Council and assists members in matters affecting educational and funding issues.

Office Manager

Joined the Association in early December 2004. Anna has worked with membership organisations including the Royal College of Nursing (UK) and the Australian Services Union, and has gained extensive experience as an Executive PA and skills in office management.

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Commenced in late 2002 to provide administrative support. David came from the Centre for Adult Education and has a background in administration, computer programming and retail sales.
