RPL & AQTF – Getting it right! 7 December 2009
This one day program is designed for new and experienced Recognition of Prior Learning Assessors who would like to refresh or enhance their skills and knowledge in RPL and AQTF audit requirements.
It provides participants with an opportunity to reflect upon current RPL practices, AQTF requirements and the role of an AQTF Audit in encouraging best practice RPL.
This forum is suitable for RPL Assessors (new and experienced) working in Registered Training Organisations.
ePortfolios for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment
A one day workshop Friday 18 September 2009 in ePortfolios for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Assessment offering hands on experience and expertise in one spot. Run by Recognise It. Cost: $650 pp. Uses the open source Mahara eportfolio program.
This workshop is suited to those interested in or working in the areas of RPL and innovation (RPL Units, RPL Managers, RPL Coordinators, RPL Administrators, Innovation Teams, Team Leaders, Head Teachers) . The workshop is designed to give the participants the experience and tools to introduce the discussion around ePortfolio implementation within their organisation.
RPL Priority Sectors Project Workshop
Research Project: RPL in Priority Sectors. Consortium funded by Skills Victoria to investigate and report on ‘RPL activity in Priority Sectors’. The DIRD identified priority sectors are: Automotive – Light & Heavy (separate); Aviation; Energy; Financial Services; Small Business; Science, Biotechnology; Food; Defence; ICT & Telecoms; Tourism. Consortium members include East Gippsland (lead), Wodonga, Sunraysia, Kangan Batman, Swinburne and Box Hill. The project has been funded for 6 months and has a completion date of June/July 2009.
Each TAFE in the Consortium has been provided with 3 industry sectors to research and provide a ‘journey’ case study. Case studies will be made available on Skills Victoria’s website.
The Consortium will be asked to ‘roadshow’ their findings at a State forum, a national forum as well as local forums.
RPL tools will be made available at the conclusion of the project.
